President's Appreciation Speech
Fellow Ontario Filipino Women’s Club officers and members, new and auxiliary members, guests, ladies and gentlemen. good evening
Let me first thank all of you in joining us tonight in the commemoration and appreciation of our cumulative efforts in making the Ontario Filipino Women’s Club, OFWC, a successful and productive organization in the year two thousand and fifteen.
The merits and progress of last year’s events would not have materialized without all our efforts. Many a member has shown support, resilience, contributed resources, time, and a part of themselves in each undertaking. Each one of you who volunteered unconditionally, tonight is your night.
I am proud to say that despite our hurdles, we found humour, jubilation, caring and a true sense of community. Because of you, we have given back to community in the most generous way possible. We have benefited from the grace of God and the grace of our officers and members.
OFWC, as an organization, was conceptualized in 1982. Over the years, we have continued to grow strong. Our faith in the organization has always been tested. Last year, 2015, is no different. Yet we prevail and here we are.
So tonight,to the individuals who contributed their time, resources and camaraderie, their Filipiniana culturalism, their efforts in last year’s activities, thank you.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Thank you for being a strong fort that holds the club together. Thank God for guiding us and binding us together.
For our founding members, thank you for being the stronghold of OFWC. For our new and auxiliary members, welcome to OFWC. May your involvement in community through us pave the way to your personal growth and expansion, and provide you with unending opportunities for volunteerism.
May tonight be an expression of this gratitude. May we move on stronger than ever. I look forward to having us all behind the OFWC banner as ambassadors of goodwill. I am satisfied with the way we as an organization performed in 2015.
Let’s all work together as one unit to strive for consistency and good standing, for ourselves, our community, and our God.
